Job Summary
Directly supervise and train manufacturing personnel in a manner consistent with overall Company’s policies and procedures. Plan and manage the day to day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials and systems) in order to efficiently, safely and cost-effectively achieve performance targets.  Improve performance through coaching, training and developing employees.  Implement and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•    Supervise personnel and coordinate production work-flow. 
•    Daily use of Rack Management System (RMS).
•    Ensure all Quality/ Safety documents are completed daily.
•    Ensure all production schedules are completed at the end of the shift and that company quality standards are met each day.  
•    Ensure that all personnel, prior to the start of the shift, are wearing the correct safety equipment and that safety awareness is maintained throughout the shift.  
•    Report all safety and quality deficiencies to Supervisor.
•    Report to maintenance and/or safety personnel any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions and/or maintenance. Use of     E-Maint required.
•    Communicate employee issues/conflicts with Supervisor.

     Regular and predictable attendance, safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.


Skills, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements
To be considered for a Lead Hand position, the following conditions must be met:
•    Ability to work a fluctuating/rotating schedule on both Day Shift and Night Shift (proper rest periods between will be provided)  
•    Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
•    Able to plan, allocate resources, manage production and coordinate people and equipment.
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•    Basic understanding of equipment operation.
•    Problem analysis resolution/ critical thinking skills.
•    Able to read and perform basic mathematical calculations as well as read, write and ide
ntify measurements in numbers, fractions and decimals at a high school education or equivalent level.
