Job Title: IT Support Analyst

Location: Clevedon, Somerset

Type of Employment – Full time, Permanent Position, Hybrid - (On site 3 days a week)

Responsible for: : Maintaining and developing the IT systems and services in Hydro International’s EU operating subsidiaries in conformance with the Group IT Policy. This includes the configuration and deployment of software applications and the provision of end-user technical support and training.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Drivers Licence Required
  • Passport Required

 

Competence & Qualifications:

  • Proven background in supporting desktop applications,
  • Microsoft Windows administration,
  • Office 365 administration
  • Desk phone systems, mobile and IT hardware
  • IT related degree or similar.
  • Understanding of the ITIL service delivery framework
  • SharePoint administration beneficial
  • Intune - Desirable
  • Azure - Desirable

 

Skills & Attributes:

  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complicated technical concepts.
  • Experienced at maintaining a large IT hardware and software inventory.

 

Key Duties:

 

1. Installation, configuration of all IT hardware and software including LAN/WIFI/WAN, Active directory, Anti-Virus, Microsoft 365, Telephony and Video Conferencing equipment and hardware infrastructure.

 

2. Working with the Lead systems Engineer to deliver IT infrastructure projects.

 

3. Manage the working relationship with vendors and ensure their service falls within agreed Service Level Agreements.

 

4. Provide 3rd line technical support to end users relating to hardware, software and peripherals, ensuring issues are escalated to the IT support team as necessary.

 

5. Development, training, support and maintenance of web applications including SharePoint and Business Intelligence dashboard reports.

 

6. Identify and create relevant end-user training materials across all IT services. Deliver one-to-one and group-based IT systems training.

 

7. Travel to UK Hydro remote sites at short notice to resolve technical issues or rollout new systems.

 

8. Follow the company’s internal control and ISO quality control procedures and work in accordance with all relevant legislation including, but not limited to Health and Safety and other relevant company policies.

 

9. To perform duties in accordance with all relevant legislation in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act and apply the requirements of ISO45001.

 

10. To apply requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and 14001 as appropriate within the areas of responsibility.

 

11. Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
