Job Summary


Performs and supervises all activities necessary to process plants’ payrolls, including maintaining related records, filing voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures, training plants’ HR representatives, and preparing special reports for plant management.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Performs tasks to establish and maintain employee/payroll records.
  • Duties include computing wage and overtime payments, bonuses and overtime adjustments, calculating and recording payroll deductions, processing intermittent payroll requests, balancing and controlling earnings, deduction and taxes totals, calculating and preparing general ledger entries, inspecting payroll registers and standard reports, determining and correcting out-of-balance conditions, preparing and filing tax reports, gathering payroll data for inclusion in financial statements, and researching and preparing special reports for management, calculating military and jury duty pay, and processing garnishments and levies.
  • Training HR representatives at the plants and directing their daily payroll related work.
  • Participates in payroll projects as needed.


Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements


  • 3+ years of payroll experience
  • Associate degree or above
  • UltiPro and Kronos experience
  • CPP preferred
  • Ability to prioritize          
  • Microsoft Office
  • Assist with creating and documenting payroll policies and procedures
  • Ability to efficiently multi-task
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in the team
