Job Summary
The selected candidate will work in a manufacturing and lab setting; manufacturing, obtaining, receiving, and testing various types of aggregate, asphalt, concrete or other material to provide quality product to customers and for the use of road construction.
Job Responsibilities
- Use accepted methods to inspect, sample and test aggregates, asphalt, concrete or other materials for the purpose of quality control
- Operate production machinery as needed to prepare product samples
- Sample and test mixtures for compliance with contract specifications and quality control tolerance
- Monitor and test process functions and materials daily to ensure our products meet or exceed requirements of the appropriate agency or customer
- Prepare and record accurate information; maintain test results data base
- Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned
- Perform general cleaning of work areas
- Properly follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures
- Report any problems to your manager
- Perform general labor duties when necessary, such as shoveling and other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma / general education degree (GED) required. Some college/technical school/related experience preferred
- Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment
