CRH is seeking applications for a permanent position of Procurement Analyst as part of the Ireland Procurement team reporting to the Country Procurement Director.
Purpose
The Procurement Analyst will support the Procurement Director in delivering best-in-class procurement processes and performance across Ireland. This role is responsible for managing e-sourcing and tendering activities, tracking procurement KPIs, monitoring commodity risks, analysing sustainability data, and ensuring effective communication internally and externally. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- E-Sourcing & Tendering
- Manage and execute e-sourcing events and tendering processes utilising SAP Ariba and Coupa CSO in line with company policies.
- Supporting Category Managers in preparing and issuing RFIs,RFPs,RFQs and tenders to suppliers.
- Analyse bids and support supplier selection and negotiation.
- Work collaboratively with Central CRH E-sourcing team to ensure S2C (Source to Pay) efficiencies and high standard of operation.
- Procurement Performance Reporting
- Develop and maintain procurement KPI dashboards and reports.
- Provide regular updates on procurement performance to leadership.
- Identify trends and areas for improvement based on data analysis.
- KPI Configuration & Tracking
- Define and configure procurement KPIs aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor and report on KPI performance, collaboratively follow up with procurement team and suppliers ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights.
- Commodity Risk Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor market trends and commodity price fluctuations.
- Prepare risk reports and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Work with CRH procurement risk team updating Ireland supply chain risk data base utilising Moody’s and Dow Jones, central procurement intelligence data
- Collaborate with category managers to manage exposure to commodity risks.
- Supply Chain Sustainability Data Gathering & Analysis
- Collect and analyse sustainability-related data from suppliers and procurement activities.
- Track progress against sustainability goals and compliance requirements.
- Prepare reports and insights to support CRH ESG initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive sustainable procurement practices.
- Communication & Engagement
- Draft and distribute procurement newsletters to internal stakeholders.
- Manage internal and external procurement communications, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Manage Ireland Procurement Sharepoint Portal, implement right document control process
- Support stakeholder engagement initiatives to promote procurement best practices.

Experience / Education
- 3+ years of experience in procurement or business analytics
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Supply Chain or other relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of e-sourcing tools: Experience in Ariba and Coupa is advantageous but not required.
- Sound knowledge of procurement processes
- Advanced Excel and data visualization skills; experience with Power BI tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
