Job Summary
The Set Up Tech will Lead and direct the team to reach production requirements. Responsible for team building, coaching, and process improvement.
Job Responsibilities
- Know where the 1st aid room, eye wash stations and emergency exits are located.

Understand the function of the plant. (Example: moving robotic arms, forklift traffic etc.)

Direct employees in the work area to ensure safety, quality and production standards are met.

Coach and redirect employees as necessary.

Train and mentor team members on job duties and tasks to enhance their skills and efficiency.

Complete any necessary documentation, computer entry and paperwork. Keep work area clean and organized.

Able to create and manage a teamwork schedule. (Example: production, Rotation, and daily cleaning area etc.)

Ability to recognize opportunities and line balance product to improve flow and meet daily expected demand.

Manage daily team performance and mentor/guide, address lack of performance and conflict at first stages. Report issues to supervisor and/or HR.

Be a positive role model to the team members. Always wear all PPE and follow all policies.

Promote and conduct team meetings as needed. Keep them in a positive and effective manner.

Maintain production and quality standards.

Follow all safety rules, work instructions and work order processes.
-
Perform all duties in a safe manner.

Report and correct any safety issues or conditions.
-
Follows set procedures for installing molds into machines, including but not limited to: connection of water and hydraulic lines, installation of nozzles and heater blocks, clamping/fastening molds.

Cleans and repairs molding nozzles.
-
Wires heater bands together.
-
Installs and/or removes inserts for molds as scheduled.

Rigs molds for removal from, and installation into machines.

Transports molds in facility via use of the crane and forklift.

Maintains cleanliness, safety, and functionality of mold components and tools.

Have Knowledge in set up processes of multiple styles of molds, PM requirements, basics of mold design and the ability to teach others this knowledge when applicable.

Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Will cover supervisor at any mtgs in their absence. (ex. Leadership, VP’s, Scheduling, Production, Training, Corporate).

Ability to take over responsibility for additional departments, personnel or processes as needed.

May work in conjunction with other supporting departments as needed to meet expected safety, quality, production, and delivery to meet KPI’s.
Job Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent, preferred. Further education in manufacturing is a plus.

Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role in production would be helpful.

Must have good computer skills and willing to learn to new applications.
-
Ability to direct a team in an effective manner.
-
Must have good teamwork/communication skills.
-
Ability to read the work orders and label’s and understand ALL of its contents.

Ability to work with little direct supervision.
-
Have or ability to obtain forklift certification.
-
Have or ability to obtain crane certification.
-
Have or ability to obtain lock out/tag out certification.
-
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Compensation

The hourly pay rate is $28-$31/hr.
