CRL is seeking a skilled, experienced and energetic Architectural Business Development Director based in Los Angeles, CA. This position will report to the SVP of Marketing and will be responsible for building and promoting the CRL brand and products within the architecture and construction industry. The Business Development Director will identify opportunities, build relationships and provide product design and technical information assistance in order to secure specifications across the entire CRL architectural metals and glass fittings portfolio.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  • Establish and leverage a network of Architects, Designers, Contractors, Building Owners to identify opportunities and promote the CRL brand and products.
  • Lead efforts to provide design and technical support to architects and specifiers, with the goal of increasing specification share across all product categories.
  • Provide consultative support internally and externally throughout the entire process, (concept, specification, quote and construction) in convert specifications to orders.
  • Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to develop and execute business development and growth strategies.
  • Work closely with product development and marketing, providing input on market trends and go-to- market strategies.
  • Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, events & meetings, and education seminars.
  • Plan and execute hospitality and educational outreach events in local markets.
  • Maintain CRM database of all business development activities.
  • Prepare and execute annual business plan and budget.


Requirements

 

  • Deep understanding, hands-on knowledge and appreciation of developer, designer, and contractor economics, processes and needs.
  • Ability and experience navigating within all levels of architectural firms.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to independently analyze developer/contractor/designer strategies and needs to articulate value proposition.
  • Comfort with working across a large range of products and having the poise to know when to call on the internal network for assistance.
  • Strong influencing skills; ability to drive results and revenue in a matrix environment.



Qualifications

 

  • Passion for and experience within the commercial real estate development, design, and construction community is a must.
  • Recent experience as a Project Manager, Sales or Business Development Leader.
  • Ability to engage customers on a high level b2b platform.
  • Prior track record of achievement in positions with significant accountability
  • Must possess ability to communicate effectively to present CRL products, position and capabilities
  • Exudes a high level of professionalism and self-awareness
  • LEED certification, BIM Project Management experience a plus.
