Job Summary

The Senior Staff Accountant will have oversight and responsibility for all financial functions within all entities of CRL as well as assisting the corporate accounting team with cyclical period closing activities, financial system updates and operational analytical reporting that align with business growth and profitability goals.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in month-end, quarterly and annual financial closing cycles
  • Ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial results
  • Prepare country level financial statements and reports
  • Conduct and review account reconciliations and analysis
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and control environments
  • Assist in special projects as needed
  • SAP S4 HANA background would be a huge plus or similar ERP master data environments
  • Utilize consolidation software application (XLConnect/Host Analytics)
  • Must possess Advance MS Excel proficiency for this position

Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements

To be considered for a Corporate Assistant Controller position, the following conditions must be met:


  • Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in accounting or finance
  • CPA preferred but not required
  • 5 years of experience in public or industry accounting (both is preferred)
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Good understanding of GAAP, IFRS understanding preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and must be an independent thinker.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Results oriented with a strong sense of urgency and adherence to reporting deadlines
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by completing licensure continued education requirements, attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
