Job Summary
 

The Janitor is responsible for being self-directed in the cleaning and trash removal of the plant building, including restrooms. This position performs a wide range of duties within the plant including but not limited to maintaining good housekeeping and safety regulations on the shop floor. 

Job Responsibilities
 

• Clean restroom in plant and in front office

• Empty trash within the plant at several locations

• Sweep areas of the shop daily

• Clean out refrigerators once a week

• Use the floor sweeper throughout the facility

• Pick up trash and debris outside

• Clean water fountains and hand washing areas

• Adheres to all safety rules and procedures

• Cleans and sweeps plant

• Cleans the break room weekly 

• Vacuums and mops designated areas 

• Other responsibilities may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• Sitdown forklift experience necessary

• Ability to use cleaning chemicals and power tools

• Previous success in personal safety record 

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence

• Ability to communicate effectively with team members

• Understand basic mathematical skills 

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically throughout the day

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $19/hr
