Position Overview:
Our paid internship program provides a rich and rewarding hands-on learning experience and the opportunity to make a contribution to our organization. Our interns work in their course of study under the close direction of an experienced supervisor/manager. 

We are looking for candidates for our Summer 2021 internship program. Successful candidates will be seeking a hands-on, management-focused program and will be interested in working in one of the following lines of business:

  • Aggregates
  • Asphalt
  • Construction
  • Quality Control


Requirements/Competencies

  • Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and be skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and Database software
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Drug screen required before being employed by Tilcon NY Inc. Industries, Inc.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required
  • Ability to build partnerships and to work with others to meet shared objectives
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Ability to create new and better ways for the organization to be successful
  • Actively seeks new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal & informal channels of development


Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A qualified undergraduate student enrolled in one of the following degrees or related programs: Quality Control, Sales, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mine Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management.

This job will require both office work and fieldwork. While performing the duties of this job, the employee

occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to

wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment in the office is usually quiet.
