Intern: Quality Control/Aggregates/Asphalt (Portmouth,  New Hampshire ): We are seeking several safety minded, self-motivated individuals to fill our Quality Control/Aggregates/Asphalt internship positions. Through an organized and structured process, the selected intern will be exposed to and trained on many aspects of our business operations.  The internship will be broken into four segments, allowing the selected student the opportunity to learn four different aspects of Pike’s operation. During the summer the intern will have the opportunity to see the entire process of the operation of blasting stone, producing aggregate and asphalt, and the installation of the finished product. Throughout the summer the intern will also have the opportunity to travel to other facilities with a Pike Manager to experience different types of crushers and asphalt plants.  Positions based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.  Classification:  Non-Exempt Student hourly position.



  • Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment.
  • The ideal candidate must be enrolled (planning to enroll) in a college degree program.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high stress environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Ability to write reports and analyze raw data.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to and from their work location, as well as between facilities and job sites when necessary.
