Position Overview

Reporting to the Billing Coordinator, the Billing Specialist performs a wide variety of clerical responsibilities with billing support and material invoice payment administration as the main focus. 

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

 

  • Enter all sales quotes into point of sale and accounting systems
  • Enter all invoice payments for incoming inventory materials
  • Enter all invoice payments for haul on incoming inventory materials and plant to plant transfers
  • Maintain physical and digital documents pertaining to SOX compliance for the billing department
  • Collect and verify all tax exemption forms are complete and accurate.
  • File all tax exemption forms both physically and digitally.
  • Research tax short pays and collaborate with sales to ensure we have correct tax exemption forms
  • Cover one four hour shift at the reception desk weekly, additional time as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Strict adherence to Dolomite policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. 

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office programs (word, excel, outlook)
  • Excellent phone manners and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance a variety of job duties simultaneously.
  • The initiative to cross train and learn new tasks as assigned
  • Good attendance and positive attitude a must.
  • Dependable and timely

 

Work Requirements

  • Ability to communicate sufficiently to be able to convey and exchange ideas, and to give and receive detailed verbal instructions.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Basic Accounting knowledge is preferable, but not required.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
