Position Summary

This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair on electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures from 110V Single Phase to 34,500V 3 phase. Working with Automation, IT and network terminations including Fiber. Candidate will work in accordance with relevant codes and will work on a variety of electrical based projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Learn and follow safety regulations.

  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

  • Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.

  • Assemble, install, test, or maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, or fixtures, using hand tools or power tools.

  • Test electrical systems or continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.

  • Use a variety of tools or equipment, such as power construction equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment, such as oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.

  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.

  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.

  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

  • Independent working skills and critical thinking

  • Provide guidance and training in the areas of maintenance safety procedures,

  • preventive maintenance, machine and equipment troubleshooting, and provide

    specific instruction and leadership in task completion

Requirements

  • Maintain current electrician's NFPA 70E Safety identification card.
  • Valid State driver’s license

Education/Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience working in an electrical industrial environment.
  • Understanding of leadership skills and strong communication skills a plus.
  • Background in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment repair.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move anywhere up to 50 lbs. Physical abilities test will be required. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid outside weather conditions; and extreme cold and/or heat.
