Job Description Summary
 

Oldcastle Infrastructure is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician for its Stone Mountain Manufacturing Plant. The duties involve inspection, testing, documentation, and quality assurance checks on precast and drycast products produced in the factory to assure the product is produced per engineering drawings and specifications. The job is very hands-on and requires working with the production leadman and other factory workers on the floor building product.

 

Job Description

 

  • Pre-pour inspection checks as required

  • Post-pour inspection checks as required

  • Monitor production operations as required

  • Daily wet concrete tests for production pours

  • Assist with monthly aggregate gradation testing as necessary

  • Assist with daily concrete compression tests – wet cast and dry cast operations

  • Reporting and documentation on non-conforming product to supervisor and upper Management

  • Other laboratory or inspection-related duties as deemed necessary by QC Manager

Requirements
 

  • At least 1 year of previous experience in Construction or Manufacturing Industry as inspector or general laborer

  • Strong history of work site attendance compliance

  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings

  • Understanding of basic geometry

  • Ability to use a variety of computer programs including MS Office Products or similar spreadsheet programs

  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize work

  • Excellent organization and communication skills

  • Self-motivated and strong ability to take initiative

  • Conflict management and resolution skillset

  • ACI Field Testing Certification Level 1 – Highly desired or ability to obtain in 3 mo.

  • GDOT Inspections Certifications (QPL-9 or QPL-4) – Highly desired or ability to obtain in 3 mo.

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
