Job Summary

The Regional Controller will be responsible for planning and directing the accounting operations of the assigned region, addressing tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities. This position will be required to supervise and manage the accounting team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees the financial accounting activities within the region, including critical review of monthly financial information; ensuring compliance with accounting principles
  • Support strategic decision-making processes as a functional business partner to General Managers
  • Lead 3-4 direct reports, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation, and the building of an effective team dynamic
  • Produces the annual budget and ad-hoc forecasts; reports and analyzes significant variances with management team
  • Provides financial analysis, supports pricing decisions and contract negotiations
  • Coordinates fulfillment of internal and external audit documentation
  • Monitors and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures
  • Prepares financial returns analysis for major capex projects

 

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of leadership experience in accounting/finance
  • Knowledge of standard cost accounting, inventory management, forecasting, budgeting, internal controls, and capital investment evaluation
  • Manufacturing/distribution business environment experience
  • ERP implementation experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience with effectively leading teams, coaching and developing individuals
  • Travel Required: Up to 25%
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
  • CPA preferred
