We are currently seeking a Small Parts Technician in our plant operations in Terrell, Texas.  If you have a desire to learn and grow in a team environment, then Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope® could be a great place for your career.     

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for general fabrication work using machines such as a punch press, packing duties as well as other duties which may be assigned
  • Regular and predictable attendance, ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job


Requirements

  • Basic computer skills
  • Work experience using and reading a tape measure and calipers
  • Read written instructions and follow verbal instructions
  • Multitask, prioritize and work under time constraints
  • Be a team player and willing to be trained to work in other areas as assigned
  • Communicate well with peers and management
  • Work flexible schedules, with periods of required overtime
  • Preference will be given to applicants with former manufacturing experience

 

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for entire shift on concrete, up to 12 hours
  • Twist, bend, stoop, kneel and sit for long periods of time
  • Lift, push, pull and move up to 50lbs individually or 150lbs with a partner
  • Grasp, squeeze, hold/handle thin to thick metal, small & large items
  • Able to squeeze and use powered and non-powered hand tools
  • Visual acuity to inspect aluminum for various quality flaws and to ensure equipment is in safe working condition
  • Proper wear of all required Personal Protective Equipment
  • Work in temperatures consistent with same outdoor climate conditions of the region (Heat, humidity, etc.)
