Job Summary
Nordic Fiberglass is the leading manufacturer of fiberglass products for the underground electrical industry. The maintenance technician will maintain the safety and functionality of non-spraying production equipment such as wheeled equipment, building and grounds to ensure efficient production of equipment and wheeled equipment.
Job Responsibilities
- Removes and installs electric, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical machine components to ensure the safe and efficient operation of production equipment
- Troubleshoots electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical systems to determine causes of machine or equipment failure and recommend solutions for repair
- Collaborate with Machine Operators, Process Technicians and Material Handlers to understand the nature of machine failures or component fabrication needs
- Designs, fabricates and welds machine components or fixtures to ensure the proper functionality of facility equipment, to include the adjustment of product hardware
- Records the details of machine malfunctions and the appropriate adjustments as required
- Conducts test runs of machine EQT adjustments to ensure proper machine functionality and alignment with quality standards
- Maintains the cleanliness, functionality and safety of maintenance equipment, tools and work areas
- Repairs building and grounds equipment, fixtures and tools as necessary to ensure the safety of all employees
- Preforms and documents preventative maintenance and inspections on facility equipment as scheduled
- Provides information to contractors regarding maintenance related functions
- Completes all required safety permits, assessments, and practices relating to assigned tasks
- Forklift training and certification will be provided by Oldcastle as necessary
- Lock out/Tag out authorized training provided by Oldcastle
- Hot work training provided by Oldcastle
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
Job Requirements
- The job involves the following physical demands: walking, climbing stairs/ladders, standing, climbing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Working at heights above 4 feet (on ladders and/or platforms) is common
- Environmental conditions involve generally indoor work but frequently working around very hot equipment and in tight spaces (not confined)
- Job responsibilities involve frequent exposure to oil and grease

- The hourly pay rate is starting at $28/hr
