Job Summary
Nordic Fiberglass is the leading manufacturer of fiberglass products for the underground electrical industry. The process technician will ensure maximum up time of all production equipment by diagnosing and addressing quality issues and variations from customer specifications due to molding machines, processes, materials, or operator interactions.
Job Responsibilities
- Leads the setup and verification of robotic systems to ensure they operate efficiently and support timely production
- Troubleshoots molding machine and robot’s malfunctions or bottlenecks that can be corrected by material changes or process adjustments or replacement of components
- Records the details of machine malfunctions and the appropriate adjustments as required
- Conducts test runs of process or machine adjustments to ensure proper machine functionality and alignment with quality standards and OES requirements
- Notifies a Maintenance Technician of a machine electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic issue or problems that may require additional review
- Identifies parts or machines that need new parts, need to be replaced, or any equipment that creates a work stoppage and notifies Production Manager
- Assists Material working leads with troubleshooting material issues
- Writes simple robot programs and makes minor adjustments to complex programs
- Has knowledge to troubleshoot of onsite molding, robots and spraying equipment
- Has the ability to service and maintain end of arm tooling
- Trains Production Leads to maintain all spray equipment and inventories parts for spray equipment
- Trains all sprayers / robot operators for proper spraying / robot operating technics
- Produces all new tooling for Warren
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience with processing of plastic molding machines required
- Lock out/tag out authorization (provided by OES)
- Use of basic hand tools, power tools, and slide hammer (custom)
- This job involves the following physical demands: walking, climbing stairs/ladders, standing, climbing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items.
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Environmental conditions involve generally indoor work but frequently working around hot equipment
Compensation
- The hourly pay rate is starting at $28/hr
