Job Summary
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of product quality and compliance within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all products meet internal and customer quality specifications, regulatory standards, and company expectations. The QC Manager leads the quality control team, establishes quality systems and procedures, monitors process and product quality, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve customer satisfaction.
Job Location
This is an onsite position based at our Bulls Gap, TN facility.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the QC department, including hiring, training, and performance management of QC personnel.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control policies, procedures, and inspection/testing protocols.
- Oversee daily QC operations including raw material inspection, in-process checks, and final product testing.
- Ensure all finished goods meet product specifications and customer requirements before release and shipment.
- Investigate and resolve quality-related issues including non-conformance and customer complaints.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Collaborate with production and engineering to improve manufacturing processes for quality consistency.
- Analyze quality data and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support and prepare for external audits and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation, including test results, SOPs, and deviation reports.
- Participate in supplier quality audits and address supplier-related quality issues.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Other duties may be assigned based on the needs of the business.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
- 5+ years of quality control or assurance experience in manufacturing.
- 5+ years of managerial or supervisory experience.
- Experience with quality control standards, GMP, or other relevant standards.
- Knowledge of SPC, RCA tools, and CAPA systems.
- Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, and lab techniques.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality software (e.g., Minitab).
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma is a plus.
